Electric dynamometer and eddy current dynamometer are both classifications of dynamometer. Today, I will talk to you about the differences between electric dynamometer and eddy current dynamometer?
The power dynamometer testing system accepts exchange frequency conversion feedback loading, and the loading energy is fed back to the grid by the exchange load generator; Torque and speed are directly measured by torque sensors; The comprehensive electric quantity measuring instrument detects current, voltage, frequency, power factor, etc.
The electric dynamometer automatically detects, displays, and completes data processing, reporting, and various curves. Measure the torque output on various power shafts using motors, and combine the speed to determine the power configuration. Because the measured power may vary in speed, the motor used as an electric dynamometer must be a motor that can smoothly adjust speed.
Electric dynamometers are divided into DC dynamometers and AC dynamometers, with AC dynamometers being the most commonly used. Eddy current dynamometer is a commonly used loading dynamometer configuration in China to measure the performance of various power devices.
The eddy current dynamometer produces a closure when the excitation winding is energized. When the disk rotates, the air gap magnetic density undergoes periodic changes and eddy currents are felt. Due to the coupling effect between the eddy currents and the magnetic field, braking torque is generated on the rotor. On the armature body, a torque similar to the drag torque is generated and installed on the armature body. The force sensor on top detects it to achieve the purpose of testing torque. Unlike electric dynamometers, eddy current dynamometers use non combat magnetic electric speed sensors for speed measurement.
